We have a new doctor! Lennart Karstensen successfully defends his thesis.
On July 10th 2025, SPARC member Lennart Karstensen successfully defended his doctoral thesis on “Simulation-based Control Learning for Patient-Specific Autonomous Navigation for Endovascular Interventions in the Real World”. The examination committee consisted of Prof. Franziska Mathis-Ullrich (FAU), Prof. Tom Vercauteren (KCL), and Prof. Bernhard Egger (FAU) and was headed by Prof. David Blumenthal (FAU). Lennart will now focus on translating his research into clinical practice. Congratulations, Lennart!
