The Lab

Our current research focuses on generation of data and surgical scenes in simulation and using them to train robotic agents for surgery, as well as exploration of flexible surgical instruments and equipping them with miniaturized sensors. In addition, we research intuitive interfaces with the surgeon. This and other research addresses in particular microsurgical applications in ophthalmology and neurosurgery, as well as robotic assistance for abdominal surgery.
