Dr.-Ing. Ramy Zeineldin

Ramy Zeineldin is a Postdoctoral Fellow @SPARC, FAU. In 2013 and 2017, he received BSc and MSc from Menoufia University, Egypt. In 2023, he obtained his Dr.-Ing. in Medical Computer Science from IAR, KIT (with great distinction “Summa Cum Laude”) funded by the German Exchange Service (DAAD) fellowship. 

Ramy’s research interests include AI in Medicine, Explainable AI, Machine Learning in Medical Imaging, and Computer Vision. He has presented his work at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. His work has also been recognized with prestigious awards, such as the best poster at CURAC 2020, first place at the MICCAI BraTS Challenge 2022, and being selected at the Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) twice.

In addition to his research work, Ramy has taught undergraduate courses and supervised students’ graduation projects. He has also been involved in various research projects and co-founded two laboratories. Outside of his work, Ramy has been involved in extracurricular activities such as being an Instructor & Judge at the FEE Robotics Club and an Instructor & Mentor at IEEE STC at Menofia University in Egypt.
